Seneca on Being FREE and WISE

A completely free man, prays in secret that which he prays openly, there is no difference between his private and his public life, he has nothing to hide, not even his innermost desires.

That which is given by chance, is not really yours. So approach good fortune with a lot of apprehension, and be very afraid of anything that is given serendipitously. For every good thing, hides with it an equal, if not greater, harm.
